Libya urges Russia to call UN Council meet

ALGIERS - Libya urged Russia on Tuesday to call an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, Libyan state news agency Jana reported.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin earlier criticized the Western coalition enforcing a no-fly zone over Libya and said it had gone beyond the bounds of a UN Security Council resolution aimed at protecting civilians.
