Livni joins, becomes 1st member of Netanyahu-led coalition

Tzipi Livni became Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's first official coalition partner on Tuesday after the two former rivals reached an agreement over outstanding governmental issues for the upcoming Knesset.

According to Channel 2, Livni will be Israel's next justice minister, while her party's number two will be environmental protection minister. In addition, a member of Livni's party will chair an unspecified Knesset committee.
