City of London Lord Mayor Michael Bear opened trading at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange on Sunday, ahead of a panel discussion on opportunities for cooperation between London and Tel Aviv.

Introducing Bear, British ambassador Matthew Gould said Britain wanted to show that it is “open for business. We want to do business with the world. We want investment, we want trading partners, we want strategic partners.”

He added: “We see Israel as a key partner - a partner to which we attach enormous value.”
