Loud blasts heard near Gaddafi residence in Libya

Loud explosions were heard near Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's residence in Tripoli early Wednesday morning following heavy bombing Tuesday, AFP reported.

The blasts were heard just before 2 a.m. local time and were followed up by continued powerful explosions.
