An unidentified man was shot after attempting to enter the Beersheba Southern Police Headquarters on Monday morning, Army Radio reported.

According to an initial investigation, after the man was refused entry to the building by a guard at the front entrance, he began scaling a fence behind the structure. The guard rushed to the spot and shot the man in the shoulder. He was evacuated to a hospital for medical care.

Police were questioning the man, and do not think the attempted infiltration was terror related.
