A 24-year-old man from Nazareth Illit was shot dead in a brutal murder on Saturday night.

The homicide victim, named as Michael Daniel, was struck by ten bullets outside his home. He managed to reach his home, before collapsing at his door. Paramedics were unable to revive him.

Police said Daniel, a member of the Arab Christian community, had no criminal record, and did not know the motive for the shooting.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, a 57-year-old cab driver was shot dead in the Arab village of Tira at roughly the same time.

The man, Taisir Hamadan, was apparently struck in a drive-by shooting. He was rushed the Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba, but died of his injuries soon afterward. Police forensic officers sealed the shooting scene and launched a murder investigation. Hamadan too had no criminal record.
