Medvedev to Abdullah: Russia committed to Palestinian state

Russian President Dmitri Medvedev said in a Wednesday meeting with King Abdullah of Jordan that Russia is committed to helping achieve peace in the Middle East.

Medvedev added that he sees the creation of a modern Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital as the purpose of peace talks.

Abdullah responded that Russia's involvement in the peace process is very important.
