"The Jews have been evacuated enough," said MK Michael Ben-Ari (National Union) during the Wednesday evening demonstration against the settlement construction freeze. "If there is a nation that has to be evacuated and should not be here, it is not the Jewish nation." The period in which the "settlers were suckers" is "over," he stated. "What are we, schnitzel that Netanyahu cooked in his kitchen?" Ben-Ari asserted that the freeze was just the first step toward a withdrawal from Judea and Samaria. "We have an opportunity to teach Netanyahu, Obama and [French President Nicholas] Sarkozy and the world that Jewish building cannot be frozen."
