Authorities in New Zealand have said that the chance of rescuing more survivors from the earthquake that hit Chritschurch last week has been exhaustedת Army Radio reported Thursday.

Only 70 people have been rescued since efforts began following the powerful 6.3-magnitude quake, and at least 240 were killed.
