The Haifa Traffic Court ruled on Wednesday to place the deputy mayor of Nesher, Igor Gurevich, under restrictive house arrest following his arrest for driving without a valid license.

In Wednesday's hearing, it was revealed that Gurevich had 18 previous driving convictions, eight of which related to driving without a current license.

Gurevich "did not respect the law," said Judge Shmuel Yatziv.
