Netanayhu 'strongly rejects' US criticism of Jewish families moving into Silwan in Jerusalem

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu responded to US criticism following an Israeli announcement on Tuesday for the construction of 2,610 settlement units in east Jerusalem.
Netanayhu said that Peace Now's announcement on Wednesday of another "technical step" in the housing approval process in the Givat Hamatos area was meant to sabotage his talks with US President Barack Obama.
The prime minister also responded to US criticism of Jewish families moving into the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, saying that he strongly rejects such criticism and that Jews, like Arabs, can buy and live in houses throughout the capital.
