Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday morning told his cabinet about his Saturday meeting with US Mideast envoy George Mitchell.

Netanyahu expressed that "Israel wants to begin the peace process immediately," and that he can only hope that the "Palestinians will want to start the peace process immediately" as well.

He continued, "In the coming days, we will know if the peace process gets underway.  I hope that it will. The talks with the US and its representative were very positive."
