Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu called on Tuesday for the citizens of Israel to stand united as one person as Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip said they view Israelis as one collective target for their attacks.

In a statement issued shortly after a rocket was fired over central Israel, Netanyahu stressed that Israel will not tolerate rocket fire into its cities.

The prime minister instructed the IDF to broaden the military operation on terrorists in the Gaza Strip in light of the day's events.

"We will do everything necessary to restore the quiet that pervaded here in past years," he said.
