Netanyahu, Mitchel meet in an effort to smooth relations

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with US Middle East envoy George Mitchell in Washington Wednesday in an attempt to hammer out a memorandum of understandings, to bridge the rift in US-Israeli relations, so that the Israeli visit to Washington can end on a positive note.

Netanyahu aides, including Yitzhak Molcho are meanwhile meeting with Obama aide Dennis Ross. Defense Minister Ehud Barak is also trying to facilitate between the US administration and the Prime Minister.
