Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that the unity government deal he signed with opposition leader Shaul Mofaz would strengthen Israel.

"Unity restores stability.  A broad national unity government is good for security, good for the economy and good for the people of Israel," Netanyahu said in a conversation with President Shimon Peres.
