Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke with British Foreign Secretary Phillip Hammond on Thursday, expressing regret for the heavy civilian casualties in Gaza, but insisting that the IDF is doing its utmost to prevent such casualties.

The prime minister also added that nothing would prevent Israel from continuing to protect its people from Hamas tunnels which "penetrate our country."

The prime minister also acknowledged with gratitude that the English airline British Airways has continued its flights to Israel despite a temporary flight ban by the American FAA and several airline companies.
