Netanyahu tells cabinet about progress in Carmel fire rehab

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced that he was submitting a "draft proposal to cancel the need for tenders in the rehabilitation work" in the areas affected by the Carmel fire at the cabinet meeting Sunday.

Netanyahu also said that a draft proposal on the creation of a national fire authority would be submitted to the cabinet no later than two weeks from Sunday.

Additionally, the prime minister briefed the cabinet on government actions taking place in the aftermath of the Carmel fire.
