Sleeping with the Enemy: Coco Chanel's Secret War, by Hal Vaughan, tells the story of how the clothing designer became romantically involved with a Nazi spy and was recruited into the Abwehr military intelligence organization, ABC News reported on Tuesday.

Chanel's anti-Semitism, and her near capture in France after the war are also detailed in the new book by New York's Knopf publishing house, according to the report.
