Olmert: Israel should not lead a strike on Iran

Former prime minister Ehud Olmert said Tuesday that Israel should not lead a strike on Iran.

Speaking at the J Street conference in Washington, DC, Olmert said that "the one that should be leading this procedure, choose the means for an attack on Iran, is the president of the United States."

Olmert added that it was not just a question of whether or not Israel should lead an attack, but if it in fact it could. "I'm not sure that Israel has the means to lead [a strike on Iran]," he said.
