Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced Thursday that he will not be participating in the closing session of the 2012 Israeli Presidential Conference due to a lingering ankle injury.

Netanyahu will be replaced by Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman.

Netanyahu sprained his ankle earlier this month while participating in a joint Arab-Jewish soccer game for children at Jerusalem's Kraft Stadium.
