Peres heads to France for talks on Iran, Schalit

President Shimon Peres was due to take off for France on Tuesday morning for a three-day visit to the country.

Peres is set to meet French President Nicolas Sarkozy to discuss bolstering bilateral ties, the Iranian nuclear threat and captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit.

During his trip, Peres will also inaugurate a Paris promenade named after Israel's first prime minister, David Ben-Gurion.
