Peru recognizes Palestinian state

Peru became the latest country to recognize a Palestinian state, Reuters reported on Monday.

Peruvian Foreign Minister Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde did not specify if his country recognized a Palestinian state with 1967 borders.

In recent weeks, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia and Ecuador all recognized a Palestinian state.
