Large numbers of police on Tuesday raided the homes of three residents of Tuba Zangria suspected of taking part in rioting overnight in the village following a suspected "price tag" attack on a mosque.

The northern district has announced that stone throwers and rioters suspected of using live fire and arson attacks last night will be arrested.

"Further arrests are expected in the coming days against all who disrupted the peace and attacked police and property," a police spokesman said.
