Police arrest acting mayor of Nesher for suspected bribery

The acting mayor of the town of Nesher in the North was arrested by police from the northern district's fraud and corruption unit on suspicion of and bribery and corruption on Sunday

The suspect, Freddy Malik, will be brought to court Monday to have his remand extended.

His lawyer, Erez Gutman, claims that Malik has already passed a polygraph test administered by investigators and will be found innocent on all charges.
