Police fired warning shots at a suspicious woman at the Western Wall on Wednesday, lightly injuring her.

The woman, dressed in blankets, walked towards security guards at the wall, failing to heed verbal warnings to stop.



The officers then fired shots, lightly injuring the woman. She was transported to hospital for treatment.

Police were investigating the circumstances of the incident.
