Prison warden suspected of accepting bribes

A Prison Service warden was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of accepting bribes to improve the conditions of a prisoner convicted of throwing a grenade at the home of another Prison Service officer.

The warden is suspected of accepting bribes, fraud, and violating public trust. He has denied all suspicions against him.

The Ramle Magistrate's Court extended his custody by three days on Wednesday.
