The drought levy will be postponed for four months, from January 1, 2010 until mid April, according to a compromise reached by the Knesset Finance Committee on Wednesday, Israel Radio reported Thursday. The proposal, which still needs to be approved by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, calls for a gradual yet significant (40 percent) increase in water prices.
