Rabbi Yehuda Amital, Meimad founder, dies at 85 in Jerusalem

Rabbi Yehuda Amital, head of the Har Etzion hesder yeshiva and founder of the Meimad movement, passed away at the age of 85 in Jerusalem on Friday. Rabbi Amital had been battling a serious illness.

The funeral procession for Rabbi Amital was scheduled to take place at noon on Friday.  It is scheduled to lead from the Shamgar funeral home to the Givat Shaul cemetery in Jerusalem.
