Ramat Gan woman rescued from burning apartment with cats

A fire broke out Saturday night in a Ramat Gan apartment belonging to a tenant in her fifties.

The tenant and her two cats were rescued by firefighters who took her to an area hospital for smoke inhalation. The woman was said to be lightly hurt in the incident.

An investigation has been opened into the cause of the fire.
