A 24-year-old resident of Reineh, an Arab village in the Galilee, was arrested on Saturday night on suspicion of having threatened an IDF soldier at knifepoint on the previous night. Apparently, the soldier had fired a shot in the air with his own rifle in self-defense, preventing a tragedy from occurring.

The soldier, also from Reineh, was on leave from mandatory service.

Police were investigating the incident.
