Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's grave in Ramallah is closed from public view on Tuesday ahead of the forensic examination of his body, Al Jazeera reported.

"Since this morning, Arafat's mausoleum was closed as a preliminary step in the investigation of his death," head of the Palestinian investigative committee on Arafat's death,Tawfiq Tirawi, told AFP.

Experts are due to exhume Arafat's body later this month in an effort to find out how he died.
