Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov regularly gets drunk, parties at night clubs that have strippers, and goes places without legally required protection, Misezhnikov's former bodyguards alleged in a Channel 2 report Monday night.

The report said the married Misezhnikov keeps a second residence in Jaffa that is not properly protected and sleeps there some nights rather than at his family's home in Rishon Lezion. A bodyguard claimed that Misezhnikov missed the cabinet meeting in which ministers voted for a prisoner exchange that brought home Gilad Schalit because he was getting drunk with friends in the North.

Misezhnikov's spokesman denied the report, saying that frustrated bodyguards who were fired because they were violent and behaved improperly were trying to take revenge. He said a complaint by one of the bodyguards to the civil service commission was recently rejected as untrue.
