Report: Egypt demands Gaza groups call truce with Israel

Egypt held talks with terrorist groups in Gaza demanding them to commit to a ceasefire with Israel in order to prevent regional war, Quds Net news agency quoted senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad official Nafeth Azzam as saying on Wednesday.

According to the report, a senior source also said Egypt contacted Israel to inform it Egypt is entirely against Israeli military offenses in Gaza. Quds Net quoted the source as saying Egypt would hold "Netanyahu personally responsible for further escalation."

The Jerusalem Post could not verify the veracity of the report.
