Report: Egypt's Islamist parties take 65% of vote

Egypt's Islamist parties won 65 percent of votes in the first round of parliamentary elections, AFP reported on Sunday.

The Muslim Brotherhood took 36.62%, while the Salafist Al-Nur party won 24.36%. The moderate Al-Wasat party scored 4.27% of the vote.
