Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on Tuesday said that the US has made an offer for talks to be held between the two countries, the Xinhua news agency reported, citing Iranian news outlets.

Salehi, speaking at a joint press conference with the Ghanaian foreign minister in Tehran, stated that the offer was made in a letter from the US government.

The Iranian foreign minister added that "as usual, the letter contained some contradictory and baseless subjects."
