January 23, 2013 22:21

State Attorney Moshe Lador gave approval to indict Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein's wife Aviva for employing an illegal foreign worker, Army Radio reported on Wednesday.

Weinstein testified on the matter last August after the Population, Immigration and Border Authority recommended that Aviva Weinstein be tried for illegally employing an Indian illegal alien.

The Justice Ministry did not confirm that Aviva Weinstein acted illegally or that Lador had issued an order on the matter which stems from 2009, prior to Weinstein's tenure as attorney-general began.
