Report: Mubarak appoints new finance minister

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak appointed a new finance minister on Monday, as he swore in a new cabinet, Reuters reported.

Gawdat el-Malt, who headed the audit office and is popular due to addressing corruption, will replace Finance Minister Youssef Boutros-Ghali.
