Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak will be brought to Cairo next week for questioning in connection with a number of corruption charges, Ahram Online quoted sources close to Egypt's Prosecutor General as saying on Thursday.

The source stated that Mubarak enjoys no immunity and may well be made to stand trial for the charges.

He added that Mubarak would be sent to prison if convicted.
