A Palestinian was injured Thursday night in an IAF airstrike near the Tuffaha neighborhood, east of Gaza, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported quoting witnesses.

Medical sources quoted by WAFA said the Palestinian man was lightly-to-moderately injured.

Sources reportedly said the targeted area suffered some damage and that Israel planes were hovering over the Gaza Strip.

The IAF launched the airstrike in retaliation for a rocket fired from Gaza that exploded in the Lachish area.
