Report: Police budget NIS 700m. in debt

The Israel Police's debt stands at NIS 700 million, Army Radio reported on Tuesday, citing information revealed at a meeting of the Police Command on Monday.
According to the report, fuel and food suppliers are threatening to stop transferring goods to the Police if the debts they are owed are not paid.
Police charged that the problem stems from the Finance Ministry's failure to transfer funds to handle the needs of the Police budget, "in opposition to agreements," Army Radio reported.
