Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moallem is opposed to the Arab peace initiative and is working to cancel it, a Palestinian source told Al-Quds al-Arabi in an article published on Friday.

Saudi Arabia and Egypt were reportedly working together to thwart the Syrian plan to cancel the initiative, which calls for Arab states to normalize ties with Israel in exchange for a complete Israeli withdrawal to pre-67' lines and finding a 'just' solution to the Palestinian refugee issue.
