Report: Syrian FM says free elections to be held in 2011

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moallem insists that Syria will hold free public parliamentary elections by the end of 2011, Syrian news agency, Sana, reported on Saturday.

Moallem said that elections are part of the political reforms unveiled by Syrian President Bashar Assad in a speech on June 6, 2011.
