A Turkish human rights group is investigating allegations that Ankara used chemical weapons in recent strikes on Kurdish rebels, the Daily Telegraph reported on Monday.

Activists were circulating pictures of blackened corpses, which they say imply the use of chemical weapons, according to the report. Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Recep Erdogan denied the allegations, calling them slander.
