Rocket fired from Gaza intercepted near Ashkelon

A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip at Ashkelon were intercepted by the Iron Dome counter-rocket system.

Just minutes earlier, another rocket heading for Ashkelon was also intercepted.

At least four rockets have been fired in the last hour, according to Army Radio.

The Iron Dome intercepted at least 37 rockets over the weekend, and IDF officials said a fourth battery would be installed within a number of weeks.
