S. Africans to help in Gaza in place of cancelled marathon

A group of 37 South Africans from various professions, including doctors are to travel to Gaza, South-African SABC news reported on Tuesday.

The four-day trip will see the team working with hospitals, clinics, and schools and interacting with the people of Gaza in the wake of the UN Relief Workers Agency (UNRWA) shutting its offices in Gaza.

According to the report, the participants were supposed to take part in the UN-sponsored Gaza marathon, but it was cancelled.
