Sa'ar, Erdan slated to get top spots on Likud list

Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar and Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan appeared to be the biggest winners on Monday night as they were slated to take the top two spots on the Likud list after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. The final results were set to be announced around midnight on Monday.
Polls closed Monday at 10p.m. after a second day of voting in the primary election was necessary due to technical difficulties on Sunday. Some 59 percent of elegible voters cast their ballots, with Likud ministers Bennie Begin, Michael Eitan and Dan Meridor apparently not obtaining reasonable spots on the list.
After Sa'ar and Erdan, Silvan Shalom, Yisrael Katz and Danny Danon rounded out the top five, followed by Reuven Rivlin, Moshe Ya'alon Ze'ev Elkin, Yariv Levin, Yuli Edelstein and Haim Katz.
MK Tzipi Hotovely was the highest ranking woman on the list followed by Miri Regev and Moshe Feiglin, who was set to become a Likud minister. Feiglin was followed by Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz, Tzachi Hanegbi and Limor Livnat.
