Sa'ar to Nobel winner: Research ensures Israeli's future

Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar called Professor Dan Shechtman Wednesday afternoon, to congratulate him on winning the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.  Sa'ar called Shechtman's achievements "a source of great pride for the higher education system and the entire State of Israel. "

During the conversation, Sa'ar told the Technion scientist that, "Developing human capital and investing in education and higher education are the key to achievement and scientific research in the future. The future of the State of Israel will be ensured by research on the highest level."
