Saudi Arabia's king has decreed that only women will be allowed to sell lingerie, AFP reported Monday.

The announcement comes three years after a row between the labor ministry and religious authority ended in a fatwa banning such jobs.

AFP said the king's decree was also an attempt to reduce high unemployment among females in Saudi Arabia.

According to the report, Saudi women also said they were uncomfortable buying lingerie from men, preferring saleswomen.
