The Schalit family on Monday asked the media to leave their home town of Mitzpe Hila in the Upper Galilee, where reporters have been camped out since Gilad Schalit was released from five years of captivity in Gaza earlier this month.

The freed soldier's parents thanked the media for their hard work during the five year campaign to free Gilad, but said that he now needed time to recover without photographers and reporters following his every move outside the home.
