Security cabinet set to meet at 5 p.m. to discuss Gaza cease-fire efforts

The Security Cabinet was set to convene at 5 p.m. on Thursday to discuss ongoing efforts to reach a long-term truce to end hostilities with Gaza.

The meeting comes after the Palestinian delegation to Cairo cease-fire talks announced Wednesday night, just prior to the expiration of a 72-hour ceasefire, that the truce would be extended by 5 days.
